A white gold ring that had been missing since 1959 was found in perfect condition at the Crown Spa Hotel. 

The jewellery, believed to be worth between £450 and £600, was reunited with its owner J. Cole, whose late husband had given it to her 51 years ago as a silver wedding anniversary gift. 

Ms Cole lost the ring shortly after whilst working as a housekeeper and it remained missing until this week, when Mr J. King, the current maintenance worker, discovered it on the grounds of the property. 

Mr J. King contacted an extremely grateful Mrs Cole, who is now 84, to find out if the white gold ring was hers and returned it to her promptly. 

"She had lost a treasured possession, but has since been re-united with it, she couldn't be anymore happier"
